Elizabeth "Lib" Ann Parks GrintonElizabeth Parks Grinton, a fifth generation Barber, is a great-great-great granddaughter of Judith Barber. She is a retiree of the Wilkes County School System and a much-honored citizen of Wilkes county. Mrs. Grinton is a member of the New Damascus Baptist Church and serves as church hostess. She chairs the pastor's anniversary and is in charge of the church's public announcements. A member of the advisory committeee for the Wilkes Career Education Center, she is also chairperson of the occupational committee at the Career Center. In addition, she is a member of the Learning Resource Advisory Committee of Wilkes Community College; the case review team for children for the county Department of Social Services, the Respite Core of Wilkes Board, the North Carolina Cabinet Council, the Legal Services of Boone Board, and the Cairo Community Committee. She is the treasurer of the Broadway Water Association of Retired School Personnel, Community Health Awareness Training of Wilkes, Old School, Inc., and the Cairo Social Club East Wilkesboro program. She is also founder and genealogist for the Judith Barber Reunion. She appears here as a lovely young maiden in the flower of her youth. |
