The Cultural Museum is now Closed

Since 1989, we have welcomed visitors to the Appalachian Cultural Museum on University Hall Drive. Because the Museum building is now scheduled for other purposes, the Museum exhibits closed at University Hall on March 11, 2006. While the search continues for a new location, museum artifacts will be stored in a secure and climate controlled environment on the Appalachian University campus. Museum educational programs scheduled throughout 2006 will continue to be held at alternate locations. Sign-ups are still being accepted for Museum spring, summer, and fall programs, and the adult travel program is filling quickly. Museum personnel do not anticipate canceling any programs and trips while the exhibits are closed.
