Meet a Colonial Frontiersman
The impact of the American Revolution on frontier settlers is examined in this program. Mike Campbell portrays a Colonial rifleman in early America. Mike, a historal interpreter and reenactor, engages his audiences in an active demonstration of many of the skills necessary for survival in the Appalachian frontier region. Dressed in the appropriate clothing of the period, Mike demonstrates muzzle-loading rifle firing, flint and steel firebuilding, and shows a wide assortment of Indian trade items, as well as several daily activities of the Colonial frontiersman. Mike's wry sense of humor and true love of this historical period are a delight to both students and teachers. Cost: $75.00 Indexes:
