Meet Joanne Nelson, Newsletter Editor

Joanne has lived in Boone for five years, having moved from Los Angeles in search of something "less complicated, less expensive." Now she edits the Museum newsletter and the newsletter for High Country Writers. She heard about the Museum on WATA when she first moved up here and we are the luckier for it! Joanne has diligently produced our newsletter for about as long as she's been in Boone. When she's not spending time on this publication, she entertains her nieces from Raleigh and adores her two Bouvier des Flanders: Toby, the puppy, and Shaquille. Joanne lives in a wonderful home with a view of Grandfather Mountain where she can relax with a mystery novel and not hear the constant racket of sirens and helicopters native to L.A.
