Meet Kay Bosworth

Kay says that she has been in Boone "since before the Museum was here!" and has done everything from leading tours of children around the Museum to dusting exhibits and cleaning glass to decorating trees for our yearly Christmas celebration. Kay and her husband, Ben, have been living in Boone for just over 40 years. They moved from coastal Virginia with their two young girls when Ben began teaching in ASU's Education department. In the years before she started helping out at the Museum, she raised her girls with Ben and meanwhile gained a reputation as a "professional volunteer," serving on countless boards, committees, and organizations. She has been with the ASU Women's Club since it started in the 1960s. Between tending an extraordinary variety of flowers in her garden, keeping up with the Women's Club and countless other organizations, visiting her high school pals in Asheville and entertaining grandchildren, it's lucky we are that she can devote so much time to the Museum!
